Code of Conduct for Professional
This document serves as a guide to professional conduct, standards, and ethical norms that every professional on Profyer.com is expected to adhere to.
1. Communicate with clients appropriately and concisely. Avoid unwarranted familiarity and always maintain respect. Clients are paying for quality, not to become friends.
2. Perform your work well, complete the tasks, and address any complaints properly. It is crucial to deliver high-quality work. Do not accept assignments that you cannot complete. Execute tasks meticulously and do not abandon clients midway. If issues arise that lead to complaints, handle them professionally. If you cannot resolve a disagreement with the client, you may always seek our assistance.
3. Be punctual and do not be late. Adherence to such a fundamental principle is the cornerstone of any productive relationship. Ensure you arrive on time, complete the job within the agreed timeframe, and begin work at the scheduled time.
4. Value the client's time as much as your own. Unexpected events can occur—traffic jams, emergencies, sudden illness, etc. If you have a scheduled appointment, inform the client of any issues as early as possible so they can adjust their schedule without losing time or money. If your absence causes inconvenience, it is recommended to compensate for any losses incurred. If you are occasionally unable to fulfill an agreement due to circumstances, ensure you communicate this promptly, arrange a new appointment if still relevant, and apologize.
5. Procure materials responsibly. Regularly inform the client about the necessary materials, their quantities, and the required dates. It's advisable to create a complete estimate upfront and update it regularly with the client.
6. Maintain constant contact. For long-term projects where the client is not actively involved, it is important to stay in touch. Remind the client of your progress, for example, every three days. Ideally, provide interim results for client approval. If there are no results to show, a simple update like “We are actively working on YYYY, and results will be shown in X days” suffices. Continuous communication is VERY important.
7. Be mindful of the neighbors. Discuss with the client your working hours, especially regarding holidays and weekends, to avoid noisy work. Otherwise, neighbors might call the police without communicating with you or the client.
8. Clearly inform the client about (additional) costs, VAT, and payment methods, including when you can start and the estimated time for completion. Clients want clarity and certainty. They dislike surprises. As an expert, the client trusts your professional judgment. When describing the service cost, list everything included, even the obvious items. For example, the cost of a video production should specify that it includes script development, voiceover, and music.
9. Address all client inquiries comprehensively. Clients often ask multiple questions simultaneously but may not list them clearly. Take the initiative to identify and answer all their questions in the order they were asked. Failing to respond to any question can lead to misunderstandings, false expectations, and potential conflicts. If you need to ask the client several questions, also list them in a numbered format to facilitate their response.
By using our platform, you automatically agree to these internal rules. In the event of complaints, we will investigate and, based on the findings, may issue a final warning or remove you from the platform. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us at info@profyer.com.
